AGC ELECTRONICS AMERICA
STATEMENT ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING
DECEMBER 2011
AGC Electronics America (the “Company”) strongly supports the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor, child exploitation, slavery, and human trafficking (“Human Trafficking”). Human trafficking is a violation of fundamental human rights that can destroy the dignity and spirit of an affected human being.
As set out in AGC’s Code of Conduct, the Company and its employees are expected to follow applicable state and federal laws, to treat employees with dignity and respect and to conduct business with integrity and in an ethical manner. The Company provides training on the Code of Conduct, and its employees are expected to follow it.
Further, AGC Electronics America expects its contractors and vendors (“Suppliers”) to follow applicable laws and to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with our values. The Company’s standard agreements require Suppliers to comply with applicable laws and regulations. AGC Electronics America depends on its Suppliers to ensure that they are conducting their operations in a lawful and ethical manner; the Company does not audit, conduct verification of or require certification by Suppliers.
In 2012, AGC Electronics America intends to evaluate ways it can further ensure against human trafficking in its supply chain, which may include introducing risk-mitigation training for employees with supply-chain-management responsibilities.
